It is our mission at Wetzel-Rasmussen Counseling Services to meet the mental health needs of individuals, couples, families, groups and communities of Elcho and the surrounding areas by helping to facilitate change and improve the quality of their lives.
Our staff consists of highly qualified, licensed professionals, whom have experience working with consumers of mental health services in a variety of settings. Services are confidential, and tailored to meet each individuals's needs. The consumer is a very active participant in the development of his or her treatment plan.

Natalie Wetzel-Rasmussen was raised in Elcho, WI. She attended to University of Wisconsin at Milwaukee where she received her Bachelor's of Art in Psychology. She received a Master's of Art in Clinical Psychology from the Illinois School of Psychology in Chicago (a.k.a. Argosy University). Her undergraduate training included work in the area of neuroscience (regarding the biological basis of addiction, schizophrenia and Parkinson's Disease), divorce (where she studied the long-term effects on children) and autism.
Her graduate training included externships and practicum work in inner-city Chicago grade schools where she provided supervised counseling sessions for children and families, educational classroom presentations, and school staff consultations. Her post-graduate service hours were performed in the same Chicago schools, at a community counseling center (United Stand Family Center) and with in-home counseling throughout the Chicago area. Natalie returned to Wisconsin in the year 2003 and opened Wetzel-Rasmussen Counseling Services in April of 2004. She attends ongoing trainings in the field of psychology and completed both trainings for Eye Movement Desensitisation Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy in 2011. Her primary focus is the treatment of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) from sexual or physical abuse (victim), Anxiety and Depression, as well as adjustments to divorce, mid-life development, and other transitions.
Natalie works with children, adolescents and adults on a variety of Mental Health issues and provides individual, group, couple, and family counseling.

After more than a decade working in the field of education, Kathy decided to pursue a second career in counseling by earning her Master of Science degree in Professional Counseling from Concordia University Wisconsin in 2015. As part of her graduate program, she completed her internship under the supervision of Natalie Wetzel-Rasmussen, founder and owner of Wetzel-Rasmussen Counseling Services.
Kathy works with children, adolescents and adults using a combination of therapies including Cognitive Behavioral, Existential, Self-Compassion and Mindfulness to help individuals and families achieve their goals and work toward living a healthy and balanced life.
Kathy and her husband relocated from the Milwaukee area to Northern Wisconsin in 2015. She enjoys snowshoeing, biking, hiking, reading and spending time with her friends and family.

After a career in the field of architecture, Ron decided to pursue a second career in the counseling profession by earning his Master of Science degree in Professional Counseling from Concordia University Wisconsin in 2015. He then went on to complete his required 3000 hours of supervised counselor in-training time and pass the State of Wisconsin licensing exam to receive his professional counseling license in 2020.
Ron is now providing counseling for adults using a combination of therapies including Cognitive Behavioral, Acceptance & Commitment, Self-Compassion and Mindfulness therapy. He helps individuals and couples dealing with mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, ADHD and relationship problems to develop the needed skills to achieve their counseling goals and promote a healthier and more satisfying way of living.
Ron and his wife relocated from the Milwaukee area to northern Wisconsin in 2015. He enjoys snowshoeing, biking, hiking, bowhunting, pickleball, reading, Bible study and spending time with his family and friends.
